Hello all,

I have been playing this game (Ogame) for around 2/12 months now and there is no sign of boredom. It is a web based game only and all you need to play are a web browser and flash. That's it.

If you like strategy games, and star wars, then this is for you. You start with literally nothing and one planet. You must then build your mines and spend the extra on research, defense and military fleets. It is only loosely based on star wars, but you can build a death star!

The basic aim is to build your empire and dominate your solar system and near by systems, then with the help of your alliance dominate your universe. You can attack anybody you like, but obviously you shouldn't go attacking the big boys. You are also protected from attack for the first couple of weeks to let you build up.

After 2 1/2 months of playing I have 4 planets and a good defense system on one of them. I still cant make battleships, which are the 4th best war ship in the game out of 8. To give you a sense of scale, it takes 5 weeks (that is real weeks) to build a death star if you don't have any robotics or nanite factories.

You should log in a few times a day to keep a check on things, it is hugely addictive!

i played it for one game, was okay bit like bushtarion (a reeeaaallly old web game)

Haha ahh dear ogame... always comes back to bite me in the ass. It's a good game, me and gav played it for the best part of 6-8 months last year, got to the verge of deathstars. It all gets samey after a while... Get jewed by a bigger player... build up defences.... get jewed.... build up defences.... etc

gets to the point where all your resources are being used to stay afloat, research and building upgrades come to a hault and unless you log in every 5 minutes you're bound to get attacked and raped up the bum for the umpteenth time. The new layout is very shiney, do like it, but the game is a bit meh now.

Will probably be playing again in a few months time

yeah I got jewed, as you say, about a month ago by 548 battlecruisers! Got my defences pretty sweet at the minute. Get spied on like once every 3 days or so, but its down from about 12 times a day!
